Seats
The majority of 3 wheel double buggies start life as single pushchairs. However, some can convert to take an additional seat or carrycot using adapters (these are typically more common in tandem buggies). You'll also find that some models allow you to include a ride-onboard for older children who would like to walk but require a little help.
For a lightweight option that is ideal for city streets, take a look at the Joie Evalite Duo. It is easy to maneuver and comes with a large basket that is full of storage. It can accommodate twins starting at birth and will accept two car seats or a carrycot with a seat. The seats must face towards the front and there is no room to store an item under the seat. You will need a sidepack.
Mountain Buggy Duet will be the best choice when you love off-roading. It's a side by side with the slimmest footprint of any double buggy available on the market. It's much easier to get through narrow doors on public transport, and to climb up and over kerbs. It also has a handbrake on the adjustable handlebar for extra security and safety.

The canopy can be adjusted so that the sun does not touch your child's eyes. The iCandy Orange is one of the most popular double buggies available, thanks to its superb comfort. It is a true all terrain pushchair, with soft suspension to make smooth work of bumpy surfaces. 3 wheeled pushchair offers 30 different seating configurations and a built-in board for older children who like walking, and a "cinema' mode which raises the back seats for better visibility.
The phil&teds dots are fantastic single buggys that are easily modified to accommodate two (or three!) different configurations. This is especially useful for parents who have children in a car. The frame can be adapted to a wedgie that allows for optimal lie-flat positioning. Car seat adapters that work with many brands.
Suspension
The suspension of a triple wheeled buggy will determine how easily you and your child/children are able to push it. A smooth ride is vital because babies feel every bump on the road, particularly if it's on rough terrain such as grass or unpaved paths. Some models have front tires that lock to help maneuver and get over obstacles like curbs.
Certain models come with air-filled tyres which are ideal for all-terrain riding, but they are prone to punctures. Be sure to keep an extra set of tyres inside the trunk. Certain models come with gel-filled or foam-filled tyres which are designed to cushion bumps. They can be less likely to puncture, but they might cause discomfort for your child should you decide to jog.

"It glided effortlessly over sidewalks and grass cobbles, dirt, and tracks. It was also very easy for me to maneuver around corners and get up or down kerbs." Folding
A three-wheel double buggy can fold up quite neatly to store it. There are models that fold flat or stand up (as though they were in the form of a pushchair) and others that open to reveal a more umbrella-style folding, with a hand-operated break. The more wheels a buggy has, in general, the easier it is to maneuver over rough terrain. This is especially true if the wheels are larger than the average. This will provide you with more stability and make it less likely that your children will fall over or tip over.

Storage
